From the quiet beauty of a desert sunset to the vibrant energy of community gatherings, this year’s competition celebrates the spirit, creativity, and connections that define Sahuarita. Explore six exciting categories: Nature’s Inspiration showcases the breathtaking natural beauty that surrounds us, while Heart of Service honors the dedication of teachers, nurses, firefighters, and other public service workers who keep our community thriving. Shadows, Light, and Night captures the dramatic interplay of light and darkness in Sahuarita’s landscapes and moments, while Joyful Moments celebrates the smiles, laughter, and celebrations that light up our town. On the Go highlights the energy and motion that drive Sahuarita forward, and the Youth Showcase empowers photographers under 18 to share their unique perspectives and talent. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place winners will be awarded in six categories.
In June, all winning photos will be included in a special photo exhibit at Town Hall and recognized before Council. All winning photos and submissions will be shared on a dedicated website. So, what makes a photograph a winning photograph? Technical quality, clarity, and composition are all important, but so is a flair for the unexpected and the ability to capture a picture-perfect moment. |
